NEET MDS Counselling 2017 Dates – PG Seat Allocation Letter, 1st/ 2nd/ 3rd Round Counselling Procedure, Required documents

NEET MDS Counselling 2017 is an all India Level examination for the post graduate course of MDS. It is an online counselling and is controlled by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The candidates who have cleared the NEET MDS 2017 are eligible for participating in the counselling for 50% quota seats at all India level.

NEET MDS counselling will be held in the month of March 2017. NEET MDS Counselling will be conducted in two phases. All India Post Graduate Dental Entrance Examination has been replaced by NEET MDS. Candidates who have passed the examination of NEET MDS and have achieved the ranks in the merit list of NEET MDS will be allowed to participate in the NEET MDS Counselling 2017.

NEET MDS Counselling 2017 Process

It should be noted by the candidates that for following seats NEET MDS counselling 2017 will be organized:

  • All India Quota Seats: NEET MDS seat allocation 2017 for the All India 50 percent Quota seats will be organized by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) which comes under the authority of Directorate General of Health Services. The admissions in the category will be given after the declaration of results of NEET MDS 2017.
  • State Quota Seats: The counselling authorities of States and Union Territories will organize the counselling process of NEET MDS for the seats coming under State Quota. The counselling committee will take some points into accounts for the admission like, reservation policies, eligibility criteria etc.
  • Admission in the Deemed Universities, Institutions, Private Dental Colleges: Admission in all of these institutions will be done by the counselling authorities of the Deemed Universities, Institutions and Private Dental Colleges.
  • Admission in the Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions: The Army Dental Corps of Ministry of Defence will organize the counselling for allotting the seats to the candidates.

NEET MDS 2017 Counselling

In NEET MDS counselling, counselling process includes processes of registration, making choices in the selection of colleges, seat allotment, declaration of the result, allotment and reporting to the institutions on the scheduled time frame.

As per the rule of National Board of Examinations (NBE), only those aspirants are eligible for participating in the NEET MDS 2017 counselling who have achieved 50% marks in the case of general category and in the case of reserved category, the aspirants must have achieved the minimum of 40% marks.
